New Year, Stay True to You.

Here’s a resolution worth keeping: choose what sparks joy for you. Whether it’s your events, your spaces, or your daily life, honor your priorities unapologetically. Because when you focus on what truly matters, that’s where the magic happens—and no amount of societal “shoulds” can compete with that.

For planners, the beginning of the year is an exciting time. There’s something about those fresh calendar pages and the glittering promises of possibility that make even the most mundane goals feel sparkly. But let’s be real: how many times have we made resolutions because we felt like we "should" rather than because they truly align with what matters to us?

This year, we encourage you to flip the script. Instead of chasing someone else’s version of success, what if we focused on decisions that honor our priorities?

Maybe this means hosting a small, cozy dinner party with close friends instead of a big, elaborate bash. Or giving yourself permission to finally declutter that room that’s been driving you nuts, not because of Marie Kondo told you to, but because you crave a sense of calm. How about we’ll worry about that home decorating project and you spend the weekend somewhere you keep promising you’ll get to when you have the time?

What if your only resolution this year was to choose what sparks joy for you? Whether it’s your events, your spaces, or your daily life, honor your priorities unapologetically. Because when you focus on what truly matters, that’s where the magic happens—and no amount of societal “shoulds” can compete with that.

So, cheers to a new year of intentional moments, meaningful spaces, and living life on your own terms. We bet that sense of relief will look dashing on you!

Event Planning for the Holidays: Tips for Smooth and Stress-Free Gatherings

Bringing comfort and joy back to the holidays!

Holiday event planning can absolutely be overwhelming, but with the right approach, it can become a more fun and rewarding experience. Here are some essential tips for creating a seamless holiday event:

  • Create a Detailed Checklist: Start by creating a road map of everything you need to do. Sounds obvious, but sometimes the sheer act of getting the to-do’s out of our head and into list form allow the spiraling part of the stress to ease up. From meal planning and grocery shopping to sending out invites and setting up the décor, a checklist will help keep you on track and reduce last-minute stress.

  • DELEGATE: Once you know what needs to be done and when, ask for help. That’s usually where we come in, but if you have your own little elves, put them to work! Many hands, light work and so on.

  • Pick a Holiday Theme: A theme may make it easier to decide on your decorations, menu, and activities. For example, a "Home For The Holidays" theme could inspire cozy, nostalgic accents, and a personalized menu featuring everyone’s favorite comfort foods.

  • Drawnames.com: Not a paid ad, just a helpful website if you have a large family who may appreciate purchasing just gifts for just one person this year. This can help minimize stress across the board, lighten the financial load and create a fun gift exchange activity.

  • Don’t “Should” on Yourself: Let go. If something is creating more stress than joy, how can you eliminate it or compromise? Find a middle ground and don’t be beholden to the (often self-inflicted) should’s of the holiday season!

Lastly, call us! Even if you just need some advice or guidance. Working on logistics is what we do all year round. We’re happy to take something off that beautifully set plate of yours!
